Festivals in Bangladesh paragraph has different names such as “A Religious Festival” or “Eid Festival” or “Eid-ul-Fitr” or “Eid-ul-Adha”.  If one of these comes up in the Exam, then you have to answer any one of the following

Festivals in Bangladesh Paragraph for Class 6

Eid is an occasion of joy and merriment to the Muslims. The Muslims observe two Eid festivals in a year. They are Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha. Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest religious festival for Muslims. It comes after the holy month of Ramadan. Eid is a public holiday. It is an occasion to, thank Almighty Allah. On Eid day the Muslims get up very early in the morning. After taking bath they wear new, clean and beautiful dresses. Then they go to the Eidgah. There they say their prayer. After prayer, they embrace and exchange greetings. They forget their enmity. They forget their social status. They also give away money to the poor. On Eid day delicious items of food like paias, ferni, semai, biriani are cooked in every Muslim’s house. The Muslims visit friends, relatives, and neighbors. They are entertained highly. Children go to parks, zoos,s, and other interesting places. In short, it can be said that Eid is a happy religious occasion for the Muslims which brings worldly and spiritual peace and happiness.

Now, the 2nd paragraph on Festivals in Bangladesh is a little bigger version of the upper one. Because this below paragraph has 250 words. Also, this paragraph is a little mature and the English sentence is more beautiful and refined. So I recommend you, if you are reading in class 8, 9-10 then you should memorize the below paragraph. it will help get you better marks on exams.

Festivals in Bangladesh Paragraph for SSC

Festivals have always been integral parts of our tradition and culture. We have a number of national festivals and we celebrate them throughout the year with traditional festivities. People from all walks of society take part in these festivals with national fervor. Independence Day and International Mother Language Day are the two most important national festivals which are related to our history of Independence and the Language Movement. 26 March is Independence Day and it is the biggest national festival of our country. On this day we remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our freedom by offering floral wreaths at the National Mausoleum. 21 February is International Mother Language Day and it is celebrated all over the world to remember the language martyrs and give equal importance to all languages. The national festivals which are related to our religions are Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Durga Puja, Christmas, Buddha Purnima, etc. Although these festivals are related to different religions, they are declared as public holidays and people enjoy them with religious harmony. Pahela Baishakh(the first day of Bangla New Year) on 14 April, the Birth anniversary of the noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore on 25 Baishakh, and that of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on 11th Jaystha are observed throughout the country as national festivals. We also observe some other national festivals relating to our culture and tradition.
