RANBIR KAPOOR SAYS HE COULD NOT GET OVER HIS ROLE IN SANJU
Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt will be seen sharing screen space in Shamshera. Talking about working with Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir recalled how he once had a ‘Sanjay Dutt hangover’ after his role in Sanju. He said, “I never took a character at home. Though after I finish Sanju… it took me time to get over the Sanjay Dutt hangover. This is because my eyes became like him, I started smiling like him, and I started walking like him. So that took a little time, but other than that, no other film.”
Sanju was released in 2018 and showed Ranbir playing the role of Sanjay Dutt. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Shamshera will mark his return to cinemas after Sanju.
Meanwhile, speaking about Shamshera, it a period action film which also stars Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera plays the role of a warrior tribe who is imprisoned and tortured by an author, Arian general Shudh Singh. Ranbir will be seen fighting for his tribe’s freedom.
Shamshera is all set to hit the theatres on July 22, 2022.
