Paragraph For Class 6 to 12

A Rainy Day is a very important paragraph for Classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. This paragraph is very important for Semester Exam. So you should memorize this paragraph very well. So if it comes to the exam then you can easily answer it. Here I have given three short paragraphs on Rainy Day.

(1) A Rainy Day for class 6

The day when it rains all day long is called a rainy day. A rainy day is dull and gloomy. On a rainy day, the sky is overcast with thick and black clouds. Sometimes thunderstorm rises and the gusty wind blows. The sun can hardly be seen. It rains cats and dogs. Sometimes it drizzles. No one can go out without an umbrella. Roads become almost muddy and slippery. It is difficult to move from one place to another. The poor cannot go to work to earn their bread and butter. So they suffer most. Students enjoy a holiday because classes are not held. They play different indoor games. Children play outside and get wet in the rain. Some people sleep all day long. Women cook delicious food. A rainy day has an influence on poets and writers. Cattle bellow standing in the shed. Birds cannot fly. They keep standing on the branches of trees. They have heard a chirp from their nest. Really a rainy day is a day of rain and inactivity. So a rainy day is a day of joy for some people and sorrow for some people.


(2) A Rainy Day

If it so happens that it rains all day long, we call it a rainy day. On such a day, the sky remains cloudy. The sun is not seen at all. The day looks dull and gloomy. Sometimes it rains heavily and sometimes it drizzles. Often there are flashes of lightning and roars of thunder in the sky. Birds are hardly seen to fly. They keep standing on the branches of trees. Cattle keep standing on their sheds. On such a day, people have to remain indoors. The roads become almost muddy and desolate. One cannot move easily from one place to another. One does not generally come out without compulsion. The poor suffer much. They cannot go out to earn their daily bread. It is a great joy to the students. Because classes are not held on such a day. Some people then spend time gossiping, playing cards, singing, or hearing songs. After all, a rainy day gives us both joy and sorrow. It comes to different classes of people in different ways.

বঙ্গানুবাদ: যদি এরূপ হয় যে সারাদিন ব্যাপী বৃষ্টি হয়, তখন আমরা এটাকে বর্ষণমুখর দিন বলে থাকি। এরূপ দিনে আকাশ মেঘাচ্ছন্ন থাকে। সূর্য মোটেই দেখা যায় না। দিনটিকে নিষ্প্রভ ও বিষণ্ন দেখায়। মাঝে মাঝে ভারী বৃষ্টি হয় এবং মাঝে মাঝে গুড়ি গুড়ি বৃষ্টি হয়। প্রায়ই আকাশে বিদ্যুতের চমকানী এবং বজ্রপাতের গর্জন শোনা যায়। পাখিদের উড়তে দেখা যায় না বললেই চলে। তারা গাছের ডালায় অবস্থান করে। গবাদিপশু তাদের চালা ঘরে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। এরূপ দিনে মানুষকে ঘরের ভেতর থাকতে হয়। রাস্তা-ঘাট প্রায় কর্দমাক্ত এবং জনশূন্য হয়ে পড়ে। কেউ এক স্থান থেকে অন্য স্থানে সহজে চলাচল করতে পারে না। বাধ্যবাধকতা ছাড়া কেউ সাধারণত বাইরে আসতে চায় না। গরিবেরা বড় কষ্ট ভোগ করে। তারা জীবিকা অর্জনের জন্য বাইরে যেতে পারে না। এটি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জন্য এক বিরাট আনন্দ। কেননা এরুপ দিনে ক্লাস অনুষ্ঠিত হয় না। কিছু লোক গল্পগুজব করে, তাস খেলে, গান গায়ে বা গান শুনে তাদের সময় কাটায়। মোটের ওপর, বর্ষণমুখর দিন আমাদেরকে আনন্দ ও বেদনা উভয়ই দিয়ে থাকে। এটি বিভিন্ন শ্রেণীর লোকের কাছে বিভিন্নভাবে আসে।

(3) A Rainy Day Paragraph for SSC/HSC

On a rainy day, it rains all day long. A rainy day is dull and gloomy. The sky is overcast with thick clouds. The sky is not seen. None can go out without an umbrella. Water stands on roads and roads become muddy and slippery. Those who have offices and other businesses go out with umbrellas over the head, shoes in hand, and clothes folded up to the knee. Passers-by also move in the same way. Sometimes people slip and fall on the muddy road. When it rains in torrents, people get drenched and stop midway. The poor suffer much on a rainy day. They can not go out in quest of work and can not earn their daily food. They pass the day through sufferings. Most of the students do not go to school. Only a few go to school but they get drenched on the way. So classes are not held and it is a day of great joy to them. Other people also stay’ at home and pass the day without doing anything. The cattle keep standing in their sheds and bellow for fodder. A rainy day is not pleasant at all.
