(1) A Street Beggar for class 6
A beggar is a person who begs to keep body and soul together. There are different kinds of beggars. Among them, he who begs in the street is called a street beggar. A street beggar is found moving in the streets of towns and cities. He is also seen sitting or standing somewhere in the street of towns and cities. Sometimes he is seen alone and sometimes in a company. He may be able-bodied, lame, blind, dumb, or aged. He lives by begging. He has a very poor look. He puts on dirty and torn clothes. His hair is undressed. A bad smell spreads from his body. He ignores the sun and cold. He carries a begging bowl in one hand and a stick in another hand. He stretches out his begging bowl with a piteous look or utters religious words. He becomes happy when he gets a coin and prays for the donor, If he does not get enough, he has to starve with his family. He does not give anything to society. He is a burden to society. But we should be kind to him and try to manage him a job.
(2) A Street Beggar
Beggar Begging is not employment. It is a curse to any country. A street beggar is a familiar figure in our country. He is usually seen begging to stand by the roadside. Railway stations, bus stands, launch, and steamer ghats are generally haunted by street beggars. The street beggars may be either male or female. They are young or old, weak or strong. Blind and lame beggars are also there. A street beggar looks strange with dirty and torn clothes. Alt the street beggars have their own way of life and mode of approaching for alms. A street beggar tries his best to draw the sympathy of the passers-by with his peculiar voice. Someone takes pity on him and gives him a coin or two and goes on his way. Again someone becomes disgusted with his loud shouts and avoids him. A street beggar usually gets small. Begging encourages idleness and immorality. Our government should take necessary steps to uproot this disgraceful habit from the country as soon as possible.
বঙ্গানুবাদ: ভিক্ষাবৃত্তি কোন চাকরি নয়। এটি যে কোন দেশের জন্য একটি অভিশাপ। পথের ভিখারী আমাদের দেশে পরিচিত ব্যক্তি। তাকে সাধারণত রাস্তার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে ভিক্ষা করতে দেখা যায়। রেলওয়ে স্টেশন, বাস-স্ট্যাণ্ড, লঞ্চ এবং স্টীমার ঘাট সাধারণত পথের ভিখারীদের দ্বারা সরব থাকে। এসব পথের ভিখারী পুরুষ অথবা মহিলা হতে পারে। তারা যুবক অথবা বৃদ্ধ, দুর্বল অথবা বলবান হতে পারে। এখানে অন্ধ এবং পঙ্গু ভিখারীও থাকে। একজন পথের ভিখারীকে ময়লা ও ছেঁড়া কাপড়চোপড়ে অদ্ভুত দেখায়। ভিক্ষার জন্য আবেদন নিবেদনের জন্য এসব ভিখারীদের নিজস্ব পদ্ধতি আছে। একজন পথের ভিখারী তার অদ্ভুত কণ্ঠস্বর দ্বারা পথিকদের সহানুভূতি পেতে যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করে যায়। কেউ কেউ সদয় হয়ে তাকে একটি অথবা দুটি মুদ্রা দিয়ে তাদের পথে চলে যায়। আবার কেউ কেউ তার উচ্চ চিৎকারে বিরক্ত হয় এবং তাকে এড়িয়ে চলে। পথের ভিখারী সাধারণত খুব কম আয় করে। ভিক্ষা অলসতা এবং অনৈতিকতাকে উৎসাহিত করে। আমাদের সরকারকে এ অসম্মানজনক অভ্যাসকে যত সমূলে উচ্ছেদ করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা উচিত।
(3) A Street Beggar for SSC
A beggar is a person who begs from door to door. There is some beggar who begs on the streets. They are called street beggars. Begging is not a profession. It is a social problem. Though beggars earn money by begging, they do not contribute to the economy. That is why begging is not regarded as work or profession. In fact, begging is the result of our poor socio-economic system. Beggars do not have any social dignity or recognition. They are the ignoble persons in society. They live at the mercy of others. So everybody feels pity for them or looks down upon them. Begging, creates a dependency on others, idleness, and self-pity in the beggar. Deprivation, extreme want, lack of work, and lack of social security are the causes of this problem. Many people lose their everything in natural disasters like floods, river erosion, or some fatal diseases and accidents and become so helpless that they turn to beg for survival. The breakdown of poor families and lack of support from the family members also lead many people to beg. Begging has negative effects on society and the economy. li is a loss of potential human energy and workforce. It also causes some social evils. NGO’s and micro-credit organizations can come forward to solve the problem by developing programs for the destitute people so that they can earn and live well. Govt. should have social security belt that will support the very poor section of society. Recently govt. is giving monetary help to the impoverished and older people. The amount of money and number of beneficiaries should be increased. If rich people do their social responsibility and extend their helping hands, begging will reduce to a great extent.
